Hitting is a skill that takes practice and patients to learn. But we don't get a lot of time in practices to work on just hitting. Games move to fast to learn hitting and practice it. Unfortunately body contact and hitting has become a conversation point in the game of hockey. Do we need it, is it safe? At Better Player we want to help young players learn to take and give a hit as well as teach the respect of why use body contact in the game of hockey. A lot of times players forget that hitting and body contact is a skill used to simply separate the man from the puck. Better Player wants to reinforce and help all players play the game to its fullest while staying safe and respectful to other players.
